Heartland

leave the sirens far behind me

...and Heartland chapter 12 is being shot and written this weekend, hopefully.

I blame my delay and forays into other communities entirely on Dragon Age: Origins, of course, which I finally finished last night. (First playthrough, though definitely not the last. I need my Alistair fix dragon slaying fix. Ehem.)

Also, I'm catching up with your updates. Bear with me. :)

No Heartland-update this weekend. I've got my sister staying with me and we're busy kicking each other's asses playing Lips on my Xbox. Our version of Boyz II Men's I'll make love to you is... something extra. Of course, it would sound better if we could just stop having fits of laughter every time we reach the horrendous lines "throw your clothes on the floor / I'm gonna take my clothes off too". It's gonna be a long night, indeed.

Instead of update, I bring you a photo from my photo session last week:

I've reached the point in my story where my writing and my playing/posing has caught up with each other. I'm kind of wary about playing ahead since that's usually when I mess up - letting the story get out of hand, making stupid decisions (ie babies and deaths) before really thinking it through. The plot is planned ahead, but the chapters aren't fixed beforehand. Is that how you guys do it, too?

I'm using Sims 3 for mindless playing. I keep wanting to play for stories since that's what I've always done but I'm just one of those whining about feeling less attached to the TS3 versions. I'm no more attached to my TS3 legacy founder than I am to my Lone Wanderer in Fallout 3. (No, actually I luff her and would marry her in a heartbeat because she's just and good and kicks Supermutant ass.)

Anyway. Pointless teaser for chapter 5:

In the light of all the angst, my girls needed a little party.
